Penance: Preparation ideas for Families

This booklet is designed for parents who are preparing their children to receive the sacrament of penance. It is intended for sacramental preparation which is parish-based and family-centred. However it can also be profitably used in conjunction with a school based program.

The material is grouped around four themes, but it is not set out as a formal course. Rather each chapter presents a range of activities that will enable parents and children to talk together, do things together, and pray together. Activities can be selected in any order and it is not envisaged that parents will work through all the ideas listed. Each theme includes a parent reflection and a child's worksheet.
